Vintage 1950's, GE Replica Child's Battery Powered Washer by Structo

For sale is a used, Vintage 1950's, Pink, GE Replica, Battery Powered, Child's Washer in Non-Working Condition. This heavy, well designed and well-constructed toy was purchased in the late 1950's and has been in storage for many years. It is in good condition for it's age. While it does not run, all parts are present, the paint color is strong, there are minimal scratches and surface defects. The lid shows the typical warping seen in most of these toys. One of the plastic hinges is broken. There is some surface rust at the edges of the cabinet and a bit around the lid opening. The battery box is clean with no significant corrosion. The gear mechanism turns freely. I checked the power coming from the battery box with jumper wires and tried to get the motor to turn. It does not so I suspect it needs to be replaced. (I could not check the On/Off switch.) In any case, this washer would make a nice static display piece in an antique toy collection or as a stand alone piece.
